Waxed Cotton Thread – Pink

This waxed cotton thread is a colourful and thicker alternative to the traditional linen thread used in bookbinding. The tread is pre-waxed, so you don’t need to wax it again. The wax reduces friction, making the sewing process easier and avoiding undesired kinks.

The waxed cotton thread is available in more than 10 colours and in 5 metres. To give you a better idea of how much thread this is: for a 4-hole Japanese Binding Book (A5 size), you will need about 75 cm of thread.

The cotton thread is packed in a card made of hand-marbled paper leftovers. This thread is perfect for a needle size 15 and for works like Japanese Stab Binding or Saddle Stitch Binding.
